I look forward to November not only for Thanksgiving (yum!) but it also means it’s time for a family photo shoot with Jim, Jen & Evelyn!!! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family ever since Evelyn was in Jen’s belly. It’s so amazing watching this little lady grow up.
This kid is a natural, she should be modeling.
I had a little powerpuff girl on my camera which Evelyn couldn’t keep her eyes off of, it was so cute! As you can see she was keeping the one that fell off safe for me.
Could this family be any more adorable? I wish I could shoot them once a month.
I wish I could post these photos larger. I’m working on fixing that problem, stay tuned! These small photos aren’t doing the images justice.
I had been looking forward to Alissa & Adam’s wedding, it’s clients like these two that make my job so much fun, they were so incredibly easy going and kind. And I love that Alissa chose a non-traditional dress as her wedding dress, she looked so beautiful and classy. She also didn’t have bridesmaids, instead she had her brothers at her side. What would you call male bridesmaids? There must be a name for it.
We started the day by shooting the formals at Alamo Square park then we headed over to the venue. While the guests were arriving the wedding party chilled out in a room upstairs. This little flower girl was so adorable, even with a frown on her face. She turned that frown upsidedown once the ceremony began.
I photographed Katie & Ben’s wedding the week before at the same venue, the Swedish American Hall. This time around was a bit more of a challenge, the lights were even dimmer.
This is more what it was like in the photo below:
Thankfully everyone stood pretty still so I could use a longer exposure.
The reception was held downstairs at Cafe DuNord.
My friend Dan was the DJ for the evening. He’s the one who also referred me to Alissa & Adam (thank you, Dan!!!)
Dan is by far the best DJ at any wedding I’ve ever been to, and I’m not just saying that because he’s my friend (seriously!). He had everyone dancing from start to finish, the dance floor was never empty. That right there speaks volumes!
Congratulations, Alissa & Adam!!
Ben and Katie were married at the Swedish American Hall on October 20th and I have the great honor of photographing their wedding.¬† From the moment I met these¬†two we hit it off. They’re both so down to earth, I felt like I’ve known them for years.
I loved the bird themed table settings and name cards.
This moment with Katie and her mother actually made me a little teary eyed.
This little lady is going to be a future pop star! She was on stage singing along to Rock Lobster, I kid you not! She is so adorable.
What a super fun wedding! It was over way too fast.
